Dryft was founded in 2024 by 30+ year software industry veteran Gareth Connor.
After starting and running software businesses over several decades, he had seen that amidst all of the noise and marketing spiel of the mainstream software players, small businesses were crying out for a simple and innovative system that focussed on helping owners and their teams manage their operations from lead-to-fulfilment.
So we set about building Dryft using a different approach ...

Why We Built DryftFounded and run by entrepreneurs with more than 3 decades experience in starting and running small businesses, we appreciate the struggle of getting a business out of the blocks and into growth. We have experienced the teeth-gnashing of keeping on top of operations, keeping customers happy and the sales coming through the door.
We saw the tools that could have helped us compete more effectively, being put out of reach due to cost or simply made inaccessible to us as small business owners, being seen as not worth the effort.
We started Dryft because we saw that this was also happening to small businesses with the available software tools.
We saw that most small business software is designed primarily for accountants, putting owner's, manager's & their team's needs a distant second. Software that does pertain to help manage the key operations of their business were mid-range systems costing a fortune. In addition, these systems were vastly complex and complete overkill for what they needed. Then there are the additional costs for training and configuration just to manage the complexity of that system.
Ultimately, many small businesses are forced to open up a spreadsheet or use basic and inflexible accounting software and deal with the inefficiencies. With that, yet another small business is put at a disadvantage and another roadblock put in the way of growth.
We wanted to change that. We wanted to give small businesses the opportunity to have the tools they need to benefit from the efficiency and automation that simple, effective and cutting-edge software can offer.
We wanted to find a way to get the software into their hands to help them manage the operations of their businesses in a simple, easy-to-learn and effective way that they could implement in their business rapidly. And we wanted to provide that in a way that would be affordable for any small business.
At Dryft we are on a mission to deliver this for small businesses. To provide the necessary cutting-edge software tools to help them manage their operations without the complexity and the cost of unnecessarily large systems. To give them a competitive edge and help them achieve the growth that all businesses strive for.
Ultimately we want to help level the playing field for small businesses.
InnovationWe had the idea and the vision for Dryft but we didn't want to wait 2 or 3 years or take the VC millions to develop it. So the traditional method of building software with a huge team of engineers manually writing software code wasn’t an option.
So we got creative and looked to new and leading-edge innovations to build our software.
We adopted visual programming technologies and advances in AI to develop Dryft. With a small, highly experienced team, we built and launched the first version of our business system in under 6 months.
The speed at which this innovative approach enables us to deliver improvements and new functionality faster than ever before gives all of our users a clear advantage over their competitors who are using traditional systems for which significant improvements can often take months, sometimes years, to deliver.
